By booking a tour or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

Booking and Confirmation

  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • A booking is confirmed only after we receive the required deposit or full payment and issue a written confirmation.
  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal information required for travel arrangements.

Payment

  • A deposit of 20% may be required to confirm a booking.
  • Full payment must be made 30 days before the tour departure unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payments may be made via bank transfer or other approved payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by the Client

  • More than 30 days before departure: Deposit refunded less administrative fees (if applicable).
  • 15–20 days before departure: 50% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • Less than 15 days before departure or no-show: No refund.

Changes to Itinerary

While every effort is made to follow the published itinerary, Druk Chhoethuen Adventures reserves the right to alter routes, accommodations, transportation, or activities due to weather, road conditions, festivals, safety considerations, or unforeseen events. Such changes are made in the best interests of our clients.

Travel Documents

Clients are responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports, visas, permits, travel insurance, and any other required travel documentation before departure.

Health and Fitness

Clients should ensure they are physically fit for the activities included in their chosen tour. Any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or allergies must be disclosed before the tour begins.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, evacuation, personal accidents, baggage loss, and other travel-related risks is strongly recommended for all clients.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Follow the instructions of guides and tour leaders.
  • Respect local customs, traditions, religious sites, wildlife, and the environment.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Avoid conduct that endangers themselves or others.

Druk Chhoethuen Adventures reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful without refund.

Liability

Druk Chhoethuen Adventures acts as a tour operator and coordinator. While we take reasonable care in arranging services, we shall not be liable for injury, illness, death, loss, damage, delay, or additional expenses arising from:

  • Natural disasters or severe weather.
  • Road closures or transportation delays.
  • Acts of government or authorities.
  • Accidents beyond our reasonable control.
  • Actions or omissions of third-party service providers.
  • Personal negligence or failure to follow guide instructions.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected tour services, where permitted by law.

Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, war, civil unrest, strikes, government actions, or other force majeure events.

Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process will be used solely for arranging travel services, fulfilling legal requirements, and communicating with clients. We will not sell personal information to third parties except where necessary to provide the booked services or comply with legal obligations.

Complaints

If any issue arises during the tour, clients should notify their guide or our office immediately so that we have an opportunity to resolve the matter promptly.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bhutan. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bhutan.
